Built the first day of production in Van Nuys California. This is the 194 th car off the assembly line.
The summary listed below shows all the components, date codes, and details about the specifics of the car. I have been in the Camaro field for 30 years and I can't honestly say I have seen a more original 1968 Camaro than the one list here.
The Camaro is impeccable inside and out. The under carriage is the cleanest of any Camaro I have ever owned. I do not see a single pit or any damage to the floors, trunk pan, frame rails or anywhere else underneath. This is what is commonly referred to as a "Super Clean" western car with no sheet metal repairs. I have photos of this car prior to the restoration and during the restoration or repaint being a more accurate description. The photos are 35 mm photographs and will be furnished with the car. The dashboard, dash pad, and entire dash has never been apart ever. The photos show the condition and it is all original. The front seats have been recovered and carpet replaced. The steering column, steering wheel, are all mint. Factory AM/FM Radio is mint and works fine. The power top frame goes up and down perfectly and quickly. The top frame has never been touched. It still retains the original weatherstripping. The Air Conditioning blows cold. The hide-away headlights work great. The summary shows the extensive option list. Everything works!
This 396 Camaro runs and drives like new. Mileage is original. No squeaks, rattles, or any other issues. This being one of those cars that's just "right". We don't often see a Camaro of this caliber.
This Camaro still has the factory installed 1968 Original born with 396-325hp engine, transmission, and rear end. The purchaser will receive a notarized statement signed under oath declaring that there are no restamps or defaced parts on this car and that this is indeed the real engine, transmission and rear end that General Motors installed in this Camaro at the factory in early Septemeber 1968.
NOTE: The next time someone offers you a car and declares it to have the original drive train. Ask them to sign a statement such as the one mentioned above.
Heartbeat City is always willing to listen to trade offers. We are happy to work with our clients on a time based purchase or allow for any other considerations.
We are always interested in large NOS parts deals, performance parts, used or rare Camaro or Chevrolet performance parts and pieces. Maybe you have a project car and a lot of NOS parts. We would be willing to take your car or cars, parts, parts collections in trade.
